DON‘T FORGET YOUR SAMPLE EDITOR

Export your melodic synth hook, guitar part, pads, strings, whatever, and experiment with the audio in a sample editor. Process each note or phrase separately. How about a quick splash of reverb at the end of hook, light flange/phase/bitcrush. One reverse note, one flanged node, pitch bend, sonic destruction, some creative delay in the middle of the phrase etc.. The creative possibilities are infinite and you can spice up a boring riff into something contemporary, suprising and original.
